We are delighted to announce the return of the Rainbows Programme at the @Killaloe/Ballina Community & Family Resource Centre , beginning on 7th May.

 

This 9-week group support programme offers a safe, welcoming space for children aged 10–12 years who may be experiencing bereavement or parental separation. Through gentle conversation, shared experiences, and age-appropriate activities, children are supported to understand and express their feelings alongside others who may be going through something similar.

 

Rainbows is not counselling, but a carefully designed listening and support programme that helps young people build resilience , connection, and confidence during difficult times.

At the heart of this programme is a simple belief: stronger families start with small steps.

We’re delighted to share that the Nenagh Activity Club is now running every Wednesday from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm at Nenagh GAA Club, Nenagh North, Tipperary.

This is aimed towards those with early-onset symptoms of dementia and should be mostly independent.

 

Organised with Alzheimer Society of Ireland, this welcoming weekly club offers a relaxed and friendly space to connect, enjoy activities, and spend quality time together. It’s a wonderful opportunity to meet others in the community in a supportive and engaging environment.

Killaloe/Ballina Community & Family Resource Centre is delighted to offer the Circle of Security Parenting Programme, starting on 26th February.

🧠 Circle of Security is an evidence-based parenting programme designed to support parents and caregivers to:

• Better understand their child’s emotional needs
• Strengthen secure attachments
• Build confidence in responding to their child’s behaviours
• Develop practical, compassionate parenting strategies 💛

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 The programme is suitable for parents and caregivers of children of any age and is delivered in a safe, supportive group setting, encouraging reflection, learning and shared experience.

We would be very grateful if you could share this information with parents and families who may benefit, or refer families you are currently working with.
